Broadcast spot for Michelob Golden Light, in conjunction with the Minnesota Wild. We start in the muffled world of an ice tub’s frigid interior, then burst out into the “live” world of a bar. No audio recorded on location. All Foley, FX edit, and mix by Mike Hallenbeck at Junior Birdman Audio. More work for TV spots

Duluth-based animator Brian Barber brought me aboard to compose original music, edit sound and mix this PSA for the Keep Duluth Clean project, a collaboration between Loll Designs and Flint Group. I’m also the voice of the guy climbing the hill. More work for TV spots

A collaboration with the animation studio Crash + Sues, this brief animation tells the story of a saucer-flying alien who falls in love with a coffee pot. I created a playful musical score and assembled highly detailed sci-fi sound design, as well as performing the voice of the alien, meshing score and FX to achieve a whimsical sensibility. A collaboration with animation/ design house Rockne Digital, this comedic animated short unfolds as an ambitious tale of inept adventure reminiscent of "Wallace and Gromit". I provided all things audio, from an original musical score to sound edit and final mix. More work for animation

SOUND + MUSIC FOR BRANDING BUMPERS

Some musical sound design I created for a logo animation promoting Enke Films. I responded to the visual forms, which derive from notions of light and lenses to evoke the process of filmmaking. More work for branding bumpers

An enjoyable collaboration with Crash + Sues, who created this bumper for IFP MN's rebranding as Film North. We contributed original music, sound design and final mix. Thanks to everyone involved for the opportunity! More work for branding bumpers

A cautionary tale about a Roomba gone rogue, and a great experience seeing what director Andrew Hunt could pull off with a dream team of collaborators. The film's audio is almost entirely post sound; for the most part audio was not recorded on set, and even the (sparse) dialog was mostly "wild". I followed the Roomba around my house with a field recorder to provide the bot's engine whir and assorted glitches; the rest of the sound design was accomplished with a combo of original Foley and library sound effects. Highlight reel of my original musical score for "Into the Void", a feature-length sci fi adaptation of "The Sea Wolf" by Jack London. My score involved equal parts strident orchestration, melodic delicacy, psychedelic rock, and ominous atmospherics. More work for film
