“IMPOSSIBLE PERFORMANCES” PODCAST LAUNCHED!

The long version:
This new podcast Impossible Performances, produced by the experimental performance company Skewed Visions, has sprung from the unstoppable mind of artistic director Charles Campbell and features voiceover engineering, sound design, original music, and mix by yours truly and the diligent minions here at Cool Cat Audio.
Not so much audio drama as a series of guided hallucinations, these episodes arrive as fever dreams that bubble up from beneath everyday life— elegies and enigmas that reflect our world in intimate and unsettling ways, ultimately asking who we are and what we think we’re doing with our lives.
Based on a series of writings published by Charles at the height of quarantine— as an immunocompromised individual, he's been more isolated than the rest if us, even with vaccination— the original piece offered him a way to keep creating despite the deprivation of his usual canvas, humans interacting in real time and space.
I convinced Charles to adapt the series as a podcast, we found the means, cast the VO performers to voice the text, and we were off— recording with talent in the studio and Charles directing remotely. A whole lot of editing, composition, sound design and mix later, we're rolling out the episodes about once a week.
The first episode features VO by Garry Geiken, Charles voices the trailer preceding it, and an episode featuring Aimee K Bryant premieres this Friday.
