DEUX CHAMPS: ORIGINAL MUSIC, SOUND DESIGN + MIX FOR DOCUMENTARY
From director Kevin Obsatz: “My great uncle, as a young photographer in Greenwich Village, created a double-exposed portrait of Marcel Duchamp by mistake in 1953. 55 years later that photo appeared in the pages of Smithsonian Magazine, and was featured at a Duchamp retrospective in Washington DC. Deux Champs (Two Fields) is a short, black and white documentary shot on 16mm film which gives Victor Obsatz, now in his 90s, an opportunity to reflect upon that day, and everything that has happened since.”

PAX EAST / AT&T eMLS CUP 2018: SOUND EDIT+ MIX FOR SHORT DOC
Above: We provided post sound for this short doc of the first-ever eMLS Cup at PAX East 2018 in Boston, featuring soccer notable Jimmy Conrad and sponsored by AT&T. The mix had to be lightning quick, including polishing announcer and interview dialog captured in a difficult situation. I created a sound design replete with assorted accents and crowd audio from my personal field recording library, then whipped up a mix and delivered on a tight turnaround.

HIGHLIGHT REEL: SOUND EDIT + MIX FOR CORPORATE DOCUMENTARY, LIBERTY PROPERTY TRUST
Above: Highlight reel from an in-depth exploration of the history, practice, personnel, and corporate culture of the commercial real estate development firm Liberty Property Trust. We executed dialog edit, sound design and mix. Dialog often had to be rescued from a variety of background noise ranging from HVAC to assorted outdoor ambiences. The post process became a bittersweet one when the news came down that Liberty had been purchased by a larger company. So this piece is something of a memorial. Studio: Equisolve. Director: Glenn Kesner.

SOUND EDIT + MIX FOR SHOWREEL: AMYE SCHARLAU, HYPNOTIST
Above: highlight reel promoting the services of hypnotist Amye Scharlau. Dialog edit was as forensic as time permitted; some EQ, de-noising and a bit of spectral waveform repair here and there. Many of the audience reaction audio clips were distorted past the point of usability, so I swapped in cues from my library as substitutes. Timeline was super quick, but client was thrilled with the results.
